It was a snow day here yesterday. School was closed so we spent the day sledding, snow man building and warming up with lots of hot chocolate. Even my 2 1/2 year old was a trooper, again and again climbing up a big hill holding his own sled. Our day ended with an impromptu gourmet feast with good friends and neighbors. I heated up some crab cakes, artichoke squares and caramelized onion bites that had been sitting in my spare freezer since a recent Cooking with Friends Appetizer Exchange. I must say, it was quite a spread for a day when I couldn’t even get to the grocery store. Being able to pull out amazing food made with friends months in advance is just one of the myriad advantages of the CWF lifestyle.
