Our neighborhood farmer’s market opened on Saturday. It drew a swarm of people looking blissed-out to see the first spring harvest. Dewy herbs, colorful veggies, some artisanal cheeses and local wines lined the roped-off parking lot that for the next few months will become a one-stop shopping mart of the best Colorado food.
So of course it’s time for our cooking group here to do a fun “Farmer’s Market Challenge.” We’ll go over to the market in groups of two or three with no particular recipe in mind, choose what appeals to us, and take the bounty home to cook a great meal together. Try it in your city and town and let us know how it goes.
