Denver Food Tour

A friend is coming to Denver for the first time this weekend. She’s a real foodie, so I can’t wait to share some of our city with her.

We’re about to have thousands of people visiting for the Democratic Convention, so Denver is certainly on many minds. On my wish list: A quick peek at my Victorian-style herb wheel in the backyard, where I get personally inspired every day and a tour of Washington Park, our version of Central Park, where Gaylord St. and Pearl St. offer world-class sushi at Sushi Den and the funky Devil’s Food Bakery. A few streets over there’s Bonnie Brae Ice Cream, an old-fashioned homemade parlor that makes the best Rocky Road in the country. Then dinner at Potager, where the menu is Colorado local and seasonal, and always spectacular. Yum!
