You all know I am a big fan of my Chef’s knife and use it for mostly everything. So, being a bit biased, when we were asked to review the Panini Knife by Wusthof, I wasn’t quite sure what I would think of it. Well, I like it. I began using it at first to cut hard crusty breads. The curved shape of the blade, combined with the sharp serrated edges, made this task a breeze. I then started pulling it out as my knife of choice for other slicing purposes. It works really well on soft skinned vegetables like tomatoes, which would otherwise require the extra step to sharpen my chef knife. I now tend to grab this knife for a multitude of purposes. It slices hard and soft cheeses easily, and works really well for slicing raw and cooked meat. I’ll use it to slice the raw chicken for my tenders. A huge plus for this knife — it doesn’t need to be sharpened! All in all, I really like it and think it is a nice addition to my cutlery.
