Ingredients
1 ½ cups pitted cherries
2 heaping tablespoons of confectioners’ sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¾ cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
3 tablespoons honey
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
In a small saucepan, cook cherries, lemon juice and confectioners’ sugar on a medium heat until a thick syrup forms (about ten minutes) stirring frequently. Transfer to a bowl and cool completely. (You can even cool in the refrigerator overnight.) Once chilled, strain the liquid and reserve the syrup to add some flavor to a glass of cold lemonade.
In a blender, mix together the yogurt, honey and vanilla until smooth. Add the cherries and pulse slightly until chunky. Pour mixture into molds ¾ of the way. Freeze until beginning to harden (approximately 30-40 minutes) and insert sticks. Let freeze for several hours until completely frozen. To remove, you may need to run a tad bit of warm water over the mold. Enjoy!

I had an amazing time cooking in that sparkling kitchen. Alison, you chop like a Tasmanian devil, and I was impressed. I would choose your black bean soup (my only real contribution was the stock and taking sample bites) over Ragu or casserole or even my beloved cinnamon Pop Tarts any day of the week. I’m so hungry right now just thinking about it, and I’m longing to cook with you instead of going to work. It was a wonderful morning.
