When I am given something to review, I am always a bit hesitant since I only end up writing about the products that I truly like. I suppose I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. So I’m always relieved when I get something in the mail that turns out to be something really great. So when my beautiful wood serving board arrived from Cutting Board Art, I was quite pleased. Handcrafted woodwork of the finest quality, I was excited to begin presenting my homemade bread and platters of cheese to family and friends.
Cutting Board Art is run by Ralph Teets and his wife Joanne out of Ohio. The boards, which are “functional, affordable and aesthetically pleasing,” are handcrafted by Ralph himself, who began woodworking as a hobby for family and friends and then turned it into a business more than twenty years ago. His wife, a graphic designer, works with Ralph to create the look and feel of the eye catching boards.
Their work is not only beautiful but very affordable, with a nice sized oak board retailing for $29.95. I highly recommend visiting the Cutting Boart Art website, especially if you’re looking to get someone a unique gift. I also have some good news: I’ll soon be offering one of their cutting boards as a giveaway to one of my readers. So, stay tuned to see how you can get one of these boards complimentary.
