Review: The new Chef’s Pan in the Anolon Advanced collection has a non-stick surface and cleans like a charm. It has heat resistant handles that won’t scorch you and a break resistant glass lid that dropped numerous times and didn’t break, shatter or chip. It’s wide enough to sauté several large pieces of meat and deep enough to simmer a half a dozen quarts of sauce. It has a tight fitting lid to steam foods and won’t scratch if you use a metal spoon. Sounds kind of too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, as you can see in my video, I put the pan to the test and have to say it’s a pretty darn good — versatile too!
I’ve been using it to make my favorite go-to weekday meals and here’s my feedback:
It’s the dream pan to cook my chicken dumplings, which need a non-stick surface to sear and then a tight fitting lid to steam. I can fit a good dozen in there, which cook quickly on a medium heat for my starving kids waiting in the wings. And as you’ll watch in my video, it’s ideal for my Curried Chicken Empanadas too, which need some even cooking for the garlic, onion, ginger and ground chicken. It fits more than two pound of ground chicken with a lot of room to spare! I’ve also been cooking large batches of tomato sauce with all the summer’s end of farm fresh tomatoes, garlic and basil. Again, the pan has been perfect for this staple too, with a gentle sauté of garlic and then a long simmer of the sauce with a snug fitting lid. It’s also a dream to create a veggie chili with all of my CSA and farmers market vegetables.
My overall conclusion: With a 6.5 quart capacity, it’s a great pan for big batch cooking, which as you know comes in handy around here.
Thanks to this new pan which has been a facilitator of a multitude of aromas in my house. It’s lured my kids to the kitchen countless times. It’s been my back-to-school go-to pan, helpful in accomplishing one of the greatest challenges I face — feeding my kids healthy, tasty foods in an efficient manner! If you’re in need of new pots and pans, I’d say to check the new Advanced Bronze Collection. For a chance to win your own Chef’s Pan, comment below by 5:00 pm EST on November 8th.
Disclosure: I was given a Chef’s Pan from Anolon at no cost, agreeing to review the pan should I like it. As you know, I only review products I think my readers would like and decline to review those that I don’t like.

Finally a pan that won’t make dumplings stick! Can’t wait to use one.

I am so in need of a good versatile pan! My cheap ones are chipping paint into my food and everything sticks to them. Plus they don’t heat evenly. This pan really does seem too good to be true!

I love all the same things about the pan that you mentioned in the video. I think my favorite feature is the handles. I’m smart enough to grab a hotpad when I need one; however, there are certain family members (who will remain nameless here) who have actually grabbed a hot pan before! crazy?!? The Anolon Bronze is beautiful! Thanks for the giveaway!

I love this Anolon Chef’s pan it is bigger than the picture and watching the video shows how well it cooks everything without burning and no sticking and the lid is wonderful too that it didn’t break when it dropped on the floor. Being able to take it to the table with out getting burned because of the handles on it. Yeah!!! Anolon is the answer for my cooking needs it is wonderful and thank you for giving me the chance to win it.

The Anolon Chef pan you used looks like it lives up to its standards and yours which showed in the video! To be able to use a metal spoon is a plus and I could have really used this the other night when i was trying crisp up the skin on my chicken thighs and legs. My pan was similiar to the one you used but the skin stuck to the “non”-stick surface which was irritating.. My homemade perogies would love to be sauted in the Anolon pan!

I have a few other Anolon non-stick products and we absolutely love them. They stay beautiful even after constant use and we’ve had zero problems with the non-stick surface.

I went to the neighborhood thrift store about a year ago and found Analon pan on the shelf with the other pots and pans. I picked it up quicker than I ever have done before. I love this pan, it is a little smaller than this one and has no lid, but it is the best pan I have ever used.
