I just love the colors options of this sleek 12-piece set cookware by Silverstone. So fun and festive, especially the red one for the holidays! When I received mine in teal blue, right off the bat I was impressed. But no matter how good it looked, how it would perform is what would matter most. I borrowed a friend’s kitchen and decided upon an omelet for this test (mine remember is out of commission!). The 10-inch skillet would be perfect for a 4 egg omelet and should surely put non-stick to the test.
First I sautéed some onions and an orange pepper in some butter. After removing them, I added a bit more butter to the pan, melted it and then poured my beaten egg mixture to the pan. I stirred and I shook until my eggs began to set. And then with ease, I used a rubber spatula to nudge and fold my perfect omeIet onto a plate. Easy. No Sticking. Perfectly cooked.I’m happy to report that the skillet passed my test with flying colors! I like this pan and would wholeheartedly recommend them.

I like to make turkey soup and turkey quesadillas.

I think I like leftovers better than the actual thanksgiving dinner! Aside from a good old turkey sandwich… I always make a pot of turkey and homemade noodles with carrots and celery. I serve it over leftover mashed potatoes. This has been a tradition in my family that my Grandmother started. Can’t wait for The Friday after Thanksgiving!!

My favorite way to use thanksgiving leftovers is to make turkey soup out of the leftovers and then freeze it for a later date.

This year I am going to make turkey pot pies or a form of shepherds pie.. No leftover that we may have isn’t passed over..

I often make turkey divan. Pretty simple to make and really delicious. I do a layer of broccoli, sauce, turkey, sauce, another layer of broccoli, turkey, sauce and then swiss cheese on top of the whole thing. The sauce, I hate to admit, is a can of Cambells cream of mushroom soup heated with milk and poured over each layer and a little on top before the swiss cheese goes on. I do this in a covered clay pot in the oven taking the cover off before taking it out of the oven so the whole thing sizzles. A clay pot isn’t necessary. Any pot normally used in the oven should be fine.

I like to make a turkey pot pie with my leftover turkey. I buy pre-made pie crust and fill it with cream of mushroom soup, peas, turkey, and add seasonings, Bake in the oven for 30 min. Family really likes it. Easy and fast, my favorite way to cook.

We like sandwiches (on a bun) with layers of all our dinner favorites: thin slices of turkey, stuffing, and yes, cranberries! Also would like to try a pot pie style with stuffing as the crust!

Turkey leftovers are my favorite. I make turkey soup from the turkey carcass. I make turkey shepherds pie. So I use all the meat, vegetables in one dish. So it’s a meal in itself.

turkey & dumplings! Sometimes with stuffing on the bottom of the bowl.

My family’s favorite way to enjoy our Thanksgiving lefovers is quite simple…
All of the out-of-towners staying at my Parent’s house remove every last bit of Thanksgiving from the fridge and enjoy the same meal once again – but this time in jeans and t-shirts on casual place setting – an easy, no fuss meal that is just as delicious then as it was the night before.
On Sunday, when it is time for several of us to go to airport, my Mom makes us all her ‘Lucky’ Turkey Sandwiches for the flight! Same menu, same rituals every year and not one of us would change a thing!
